Painting and Drawing Courses in Florence

The program's curriculum emphasizes creativity and self-expression and is designed to provide students with life-enriching skills. Our faculties reflect the diversity and plurality of contemporary drawing and painting while being grounded in traditional and historical methods and precepts. An awareness of the breadth of what has been done in the past and what is being done in the present encourages students to relate their own practice to both history and the contemporary context. The students in Fine Art spend a lot of time in studio classes creating original works, studying aspects in the field, and examining a variety of media with which to work.

In our Painting and Drawing course, students can learn and choose among the following techniques:

- Basic drawing

- Advanced drawing

- Oil painting

- Watercolor

- Tempera painting

- Acrylic painting

We offer both long-term (One-Year, Semester, and Master's) and short-term (Short, and Summer Intensive) programs.

During the summer (from May until the end of September), we offer a special program called "Summer Intensive Course" (from 2 to 12 weeks) which includes housing, meals and extracurricular activities and services.
