Best L figure?? MyFigureCollection.net
So recently I picked up Griffon's Figutto Light Yagami figure and I love it. I mean, it's not as good as my figma, but it's pretty nice. The accessories are good, paint and sculpt are okay, expressions are too similar, and the joints (or my joints anyway) were overly stiff probably from being stored a long time. BUT, it's an articulated Light around the scale that I like. (I collect mostly Figma, SH Figuarts, Revoltech, etc). I eventually plan to pick up the Ryuuk from the same line, but he's pretty expensive.

But, the thing is I really want a figure of L. Particularly I'd love an articulated L around the scale I collect, but as far as I know there are not any. So I started looking at some of the trading figures listed on MFC. A lot of the comments and pictures seem to indicate poor quality, but it's hard to tell since of course it is a trading figure and the quality varies so much on those (as to be expected for the price).
So I've been thinking of making my own articulated Figma sized L figure. I just got in a new batch of resin and silicone mold. The body/clothes won't be difficult, but that hair and the face.. I'll want to get that right. For the faces I think I'll try and find a similar shaped face and make my own resin copies and then use waterslide decals for the faces. But the hair is much more difficult.
I'm actually thinking of coping and editing Mikasa's special wind blown hair for a base (at least the front, not sure about the back).

So if you have any recommendations on a 1/12 ish scale of L, let me know (mostly likely it'd be a small prize figure or a large trading figure). Or recommendations on more or less kit bashing an L (though I don't mind minor edits/sculpting I'm just not that good at it).
